How to replace the USB Wi-Fi Adapter on your Micro-I

This guide will direct you through the process of replacing the USB Wi-Fi adapter on your Micro-I. The new USB Wi-Fi adapter will reduce the incidence of connection issues, increase connection speed and enable dual networks.

 

Please note: You will need to get in touch with our support team once you have made the replacement so we can configure it to your device.

 

Replacement Steps:

  1. Ensure Micro-I is fully powered off (no flashing or solid lights)

  2. Remove the existing USB adapter with a firm grip. (Located in one of the USB ports on the side of your Micro-I).

  3. Insert the new adapter into the same spot. The top-middle USB port is the recommended location.
  4. Power on your Micro-I device.
  5. Run through the First-Time Connection guide again to reconnect your Micro-I to your local Wi-Fi connection.
  6. Contact our support team (help@fecpak.com) and provide your Micro-I serial number (last four digits on the bottom of your Micro-I) so that we can configure your new USB Wi-Fi adapter for your device. (Please leave your Micro-I powered on while this occurs.)
  7. Once the support team has informed you that the configuration is complete, you will need to power cycle your Micro-I (turn it off and on again).

Your new USB Wi-Fi adapter is now set up for your device.
